5 Things to Be Thankful For

Writing in the sand

This month, millions of people are getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. It is a day that many of us take for granted without ever considering what we should be thankful for on this special day. Today we will talk about some of the things you may not have considered to be grateful for this Thanksgiving Day.

For most Americans the list below are things most consider to be just everyday parts of life. However, there are so many others who do not even have the basics covered, let alone having something to look forward to at the end of the day. If you think about it, being able to find gratitude in some simple things
is quite amazing if you consider how easily any of those things could become nonexistent or replaceable in our lives. We are all very blessed to have the things in our lives that we do.

So, while celebrating Thanksgiving Day with family and friends, be sure to think of what you are grateful for. Be thankful not only for the happy times but also appreciate those harder times because they make us stronger. Being able to see your blessings is one of the healthiest forms of gratitude because it gives
you a better chance at being happy along with others who can enjoy life as well.

Here’s a list of 5 small things I’m grateful for and you might want to be grateful
for too:

A Hug - Being grateful for a hug is an easy way to be happy. It can make us smile because, more often than not, it can make us feel loved, and lifts our mood! When people offer themselves as comfort to you, it really does help them as well.

A Hot Shower and Warm Towels - A hot shower with warm towels is something to be grateful for. The feeling of cleanliness and softness on your skin after scrubbing away the day's dirt can make you feel new again!

Random Act of Kindness - One of the most amazing things in this world is when you give someone a kind word or gesture. It can make their day and brighten up what could have been an otherwise bad one. Who doesn't need more joy?! And it can improve your own mental health.

Pets - It is hard to put into words the gratitude you can feel when your pet (dog) runs up and licks you. Pets provide unconditional love, it’s simply a beautiful thing.

Surviving in the face of Adversity - When life throws you curveballs, it's good to remember the many battles you have gone through and survived.  It can help you to remember how strong you are.

In conclusion this blog wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t let you know I’m grateful that you are a loyal supporter of my hopes and dreams.  I look forward to serving your needs today and in the future.

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours!
